Sunday Style: Part Four & the 30 Day Shred

February 27, 2011

Hi everyone! I'm back. Yes, I'm a slacker. I haven't kept up with writing like I should, but life is busy, busy, busy!
I've been doing the usual: go to the gym, go to work, go home.
My life isn't super exciting, but maybe that's a good thing. I mean I have enough things to worry/stress about. :)
It's Sunday Style time!
I liked my outfit a lot today. I felt really cute wearing it. Heh. The weather decided to be wet and rain upon us. At least it wasn't snow! :)
I'm starting a new challenge on Monday! I'll be using Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred. I've heard good things about this DVD and it doesn't seem too hard. I'll weigh myself on Monday morning and write it on a calendar where I'll keep track of my "shredding". (Ha ha.) I'll also take before and after photos. This is something I need. It's new, different, and will hopefully pump my body up so I can get off this plateau and lose more weight. I know it's only for 30 days, but I'll start on February 28th and end on March 30th. Two extra days can only benefit me! Heh. I'm excited to do this and I hope it gives me some results!
Have a great week everyone!

Sunday Style: Day Three & Jewelry Making

February 20, 2011

Hi everyone,
So I'm back with another Sunday Style and a new topic: jewelry making. I am keeping my promise of writing, but it definitely isn't 3 times a week. I should do that in March. I think that's a good goal, to write at least 3 times a week, ya? Plus I have some other things coming up soon and I'm excited to write about it when the time is right. He he.
But first it's time for my Sunday Style.
My dad isn't the best photographer, so please ignore the bad picture. :P (I love you dad!) My skirt I bought at Ross back in Logan when I was bigger so it's too big on me and that's why I have my belt on. The red cardigan was a steal for $3.50 at the on base thrift shop! It's J. Crew and 100% merino wool. I like how soft and warm it is as well as the vibrant red color. I think my outfit was cute and it was comfy as well. I wore my simple plain black flats and my khaki trench coat with the outfit to church. :D
Now on to jewelry making. If you are my friend on Facebook you have probably already seen pictures, but I'm going to post them anyway.
The following ones are new!
I have a necklace with matching earrings I just finished, but the camera isn't being nice so I'll try posting pics of them at a later time. They are kind of glitzy. I love them!
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week. I am definitely going to enjoy my day off tomorrow! Yay for holidays! Thank you Mr. Presidents! :)

Sunday Style: Day One & a Makeover!

February 6, 2011

Happy February everyone! Wow. How did time fly so fast?! This year has been going by quickly, just like 2010 did. Crazy! Hopefully I will be able to reach my goals this year!
Anyway, if you noticed the title of this post, I'm starting something fun! Every Sunday I'll take a picture of myself in my outfit that I wore to church. I always most of the time feel that I look my best on Sundays. I have named it Sunday Style and it starts today! Just a warning I am by no means a model. At all. I am working on my fitness so bear with me. Posting these pictures is a step or two out of my comfort zone!
Oh, I wore my outfit with my black boots. I did a little makeover on the boots.
I cut the fur trim off. It made the boots hit my leg at a weird spot so off it went. Now it looks so much better. Even my mom liked it! She has the same boots in brown and wants me to modify hers. :)
Church went well today. I love teaching Primary. It's a lot of fun and it's a challenge. I have 7 students ranging from the ages of 6-8. They are all so smart and quite adorable. I hope I'm helping them learn.
Yay! Tomorrow I have the day off! Thank you Super Bowl! The base commander made our Monday a family day so most of the airmen have the day off to enjoy the game. I'm going to be working on my room and going through my things. I need to organize and get rid of stuff. I have to if I want to do what I want to this summer. More on that in a different post!
Have a fabulous Sunday everyone!

P.S. I'm thinking of revamping my layout. I want to make it look more sophisticated...any ideas for colors/patterns?
